Ring of Pursuit ("we", "us") is an outdoor adventure game platform. Contact: hello@ringofpursuit.com

Account data (retained):

• Email address — for account access and communication
• Display name — shown publicly within the game and post-game standings
• Full name — kept internally for payment validation; never shown to other users

During an active event (temporary):

• Device location — used to support gameplay mechanics. Location data is collected only while an event is active and is permanently deleted when the event ends.

After an event ends (retained):

• Game standings — your display name and point total may be retained as part of the event record

Photos & video (retained):

• Organizers or event partners may photograph or record video of participants during an event. This content may be published and used for promotional purposes — see Terms of Use, Photos & Video section, for full detail. Contact the event organizer before the event if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.

Camera:

Separately from the above, your device's camera access is requested during events solely for QR code scanning. No images or video are captured, transmitted, or stored by us through this access. All processing happens entirely on your device.

We do not collect date of birth, phone number, or precise location outside of active events.

• Email and full name: to manage your account and validate payments
• Display name: to identify you within gameplay and standings
• Location during events: to support core gameplay mechanics
• Photos & video: to document and promote events, as described in the Terms of Use
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties

We may send you two types of email:

• Service emails — account confirmations, event registration confirmations, event-day updates from organizers, and other operational messages directly related to your use of the platform. These are sent on the basis of contract (providing the service you signed up for) and do not require a separate opt-in.
• Marketing emails — newsletters and announcements about upcoming events. These are sent only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time from your profile settings or by clicking Unsubscribe in any such email.

Emails are delivered via Resend (resend.com), our email service provider. Resend processes recipient addresses solely to deliver messages on our behalf and is contractually prohibited from using them for other purposes.

Our service is intended for users 15 years of age or older. Users younger than 15 may only use the service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, given in writing when the account is created — see Terms of Use, Section 2 (Eligibility). If you believe we have collected data from a child under 15 without the required parental or guardian consent, contact us at hello@ringofpursuit.com and we will delete it promptly.

• Account data is retained for as long as your account is active
• Location data collected during events is permanently deleted when the event concludes
• Post-game standings (display name and points) may be retained indefinitely as part of the event record
• Photos and video from events may be retained and used for promotional purposes as described above
• You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@ringofpursuit.com. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days.

We store your data securely and take reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
